The museum’s St. Patrick’s Day Bash, set for 6 to 8 p.m., March 17, will offer a sampling of Irish cuisine and culture in the museum’s Victorian parlor with an evening of flavor-packed foods and music. For the past decade, Fire in the Kitchen has specialized in lively Appalachian and Celtic music. Instrumentation of the ensemble includes hammered dulcimer, Irish flute, Irish whistles, classical flute, Irish bodhran, guitar, bass and banjo. Members of the group are natives of Washington County, Va.
