We have passed by the exit for Phil's Dream Pit countless times and always said we have to try this barbecue that we've heard so much about. Today, we locked up the brakes and headed off the Eastern Star Exit on I-26 to one of the best barbecue pork sandwiches we've eaten in a long time (the coleslaw, beans and pasta salad were also great). Owners, Phil & Dianna Pipkin have definitely fulfilled their mission to "provide the Highest Quality and Best Tasting BBQ in East Tennessee!” They have already won countless awards, including the People's Choice Award and The Best Ribs in the Tri-Cities.
Don't wait as long as we did, whether you're looking for a great lunch, dinner or a meal to take back to Fox Manor to eat on the veranda, you won't be disappointed.
